STATESBORO - The Georgia Southern women's tennis team ran its win streak to four with a 4-1 Sun Belt Conference win over visiting Appalachian State on Sunday morning at the Wallis Tennis Center.
The Eagles (12-8, 4-3 SBC) completed a perfect three-match homestand at Wallis this week with the victory over the Mountaineers (4-9, 3-4 SBC). Georgia Southern will hit the road for its next two matches, starting with a Wednesday 4 p.m. match against Mercer in Macon.
After a quick win at No. 3 doubles by Elizabeth Goines and Sonja Keranen for the Eagles, App State took the remaining two doubles matches to claim the doubles point.
