STATESBORO - The Georgia Southern softball squad rebounded from a pair of losses on Saturday to finish the Bash in the Boro on a strong note with a pair of wins Sunday at Eagle Field. The Eagles took care of UT Martin 6-3 and then took care of Savannah State, 4-1, to finish the opening weekend at 4-2.

Georgia Southern jumped on UTM pitcher Hannah Ridolfi early, scoring three runs in the first inning. Hannah Farrell drove in Faith Shirley with a double to left field and then Macy Weeks drove in Shelby Wilson and Farrell with a double to the gap.
