Eagles Rally to Sweep Troy, 10-9

STATESBORO - Three runs scored by the Georgia Southern baseball team in the bottom of the seventh inning helped it power past Troy on Sunday afternoon at J.I. Clements Stadium by a final score of 10-9.

Both sides traded two run half-innings in the beginning of the game, with Georgia Southern (32-15, 18-6 SBC) getting the first two runs on the board in the bottom of the first inning with a sac fly to plate , and a single bringing home. Troy (29-17, 13-11 SBC) would tie the game up in the top of the second inning, but the Eagles would plate two more in the bottom half of the second frame with a home run to left field, and a sac fly from Swan to give Sherrill his second run of the game.
