Coming off of an exciting win against Bethune-Cookman, the Georgia Southern women’s basketball team fell to the Kennesaw State Owls 78-59 on Wednesday night. With both teams going into this game two wins apiece, this was a battle for these in state rivals.
Alexis Brown, with 16 points, two steals and one assist, led the Eagles with help from sophomore guard Tatum Barber, who tallied 14 points, two steals and three assists.
The Eagles started off strong, building an eight point lead in the first ten minutes of play. After a few offensive fast breaks by the Owls and multiple missed shot attempts, GS went into halftime down 34-22, shooting 1 for 11 from the three.
