Throughout the Sun Belt Conference tournament, Georgia Southern is not only proving that line of thinking, but making it look understated.
For the second straight day, the Eagles recorded a shutout — defeating South Alabama 4-0 — in the tournament semifinals. With the win, the Eagles (37-24) advance to today’s championship game and have rattled off 22 consecutive scoreless innings.
A third early wake-up call in four days saw Georgia Southern square off against regular season co-champs South Alabama Saturday morning.
