MACON, Ga. – The Georgia Southern baseball team came away from Macon, Ga, with a big 4-2 win over the Mercer Bears Wednesday night at OrthoGeorgia Park. The game pushed the Eagles to a 11-6 record, while Mercer took their second loss of the season.
The action started in the bottom of the first, where a miscue by the Eagles brought in a Mercer score, giving the Bears a 1-0 lead after the first frame. Neither team would score again until the top of the fourth.
To begin the fourth inning, Jesse Sherrill singled into center field, giving the Eagles their first hit on the day.
