When playing one of their Sun Belt rivals this Saturday, the Georgia Southern Eagles fell short to the Appalachian State Mountaineers, losing 52-70.
The Eagles took a lead early in the game to end the first quarter at 23-21. The drive was there and you could feel the energy in Hanner. However, the Mountaineers took the lead in every quarter after that.
There were a few things that kept the Eagles from securing the win for GS and there has to be a change in order to rack up a win against Little Rock next Thursday.
“Offensive rebounding, us not rebounding,” sophomore guard Tatum Barber said pertaining to Saturday’s loss.
