DECATUR, Ga. – The Georgia Southern baseball team lost a Sun Belt Conference series finale to the Georgia State Panthers, 16-5, on Sunday afternoon at the Georgia State Baseball Complex.
Georgia State (27-26, 14-13 SBC) put up three runs in the bottom of the third inning and two in the bottom of the fourth inning to take a 5-0 lead before Georgia Southern (24-27, 14-13 SBC) responded in the top of the fifth frame. In that inning, the Eagles saw Blake Evans score on a wild pitch just before a Jarrett Brown bases-loaded walk scored Luke Hatcher.
