Eagles Fall At No. 64 Marshall, 4-1, On Friday

HUNTINGTON, W. Va. - No. 64-ranked Marshall women's tennis collected a 4-0 victory over visiting Georgia Southern in Sun Belt Conference action on Friday afternoon at the Brian David Fox Tennis Center.

The Thundering Herd improved to 16-4 overall and 5-3 in the Sun Belt with the victory, while Georgia Southern falls to 10-7 overall and 2-4 in the league. It was the first meeting between the two teams since 1997, when both schools were members of the Southern Conference.

Marshall earned the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles.
