STATESBORO - Georgia Southern women's tennis was named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic Team honoree for the eighth straight year, while seven Eagles earned individual ITA Scholar-Athlete honors, announced today by the organization.
ITA All-Academic Teams are awarded to Division I schools that maintain a 3.20 GPA or better for the entire year, while ITA Scholar-Athletes must maintain a 3.50 GPA or better for the year.
Georgia Southern women's tennis carried a department-best 3.77 GPA for the 2022-23 academic year, earning the All-Academic Team honor for the eighth straight year and 14th year overall.
Individually, seven Eagles earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors - graduate student Liv Ryan, senior Paula Hijos, juniors Silvia Martinez and Lindsay Tulenko and freshmen Nanaka Kijima, Ninon Martinache and Ana Tsitavets.
