Eagles Drop Opener at No. 15 Auburn, 11-2

AUBURN, ALA. – Georgia Southern Baseball came up short in the season opener at No. 15 Auburn. The Eagles scored the game's first run, but dropped the 11-2 decision after conceding five runs in the first frame. Georgia Southern, however, out-hit the Tigers 9-8 in the game. The Eagles will turn to freshman pitcher Braden Hays on Saturday for game two of the series with first pitch set for 2 p.m. (CT) / 3 p.m. (ET).
