Huntington, W. Va. --- The Georgia Southern men's soccer team fell to #4 Marshall 4-1 this past Wednesday evening (October 23rd).
Marshall shot off a flurry of attempts in the first few minutes of the match that tested, but did not break, the Georgia Southern defense. In the 15th minute, the Eagles had a throw in that sailed into the box where took a touch to , who capitalized to score his first goal of the season with a poking shot from just inside the box to put the Eagles up 1-0.
However, just 10 minutes later, a crossing pas into the box unfortunately bounced to hit an Eagle defender on the hand inside of the box and Marshall's Rai Pinto evened up the score with a penalty kick.
