ATHENS, Ga. - Luke Hatcher's grand slam in the top of the sixth inning broke the game between Georgia Southern and Georgia wide open, leading to a 12-2 victory for the Eagles in Athens on Wednesday night. Georgia Southern is winners in six of the last eight games leading up to this weekend's series against Old Dominion.
The Eagles (13-12) wasted no time getting on the board, starting with a Jarrett Brown RBI-double to drive Jesse Sherrill home. Noah Ledford followed up with an RBI-double of his own to score Brown, taking a 2-0 lead before Georgia (15-10) ever went to the bat racks.
