STATESBORO – The Georgia Southern men's tennis team powered past the Troy Trojans by a score of 4-2 on Sunday at the Wallis Tennis Center.
The doubles matches began with Pol del Castillo and Jacob Mitchell getting off to a hot start at the No. 3 position, and quickly won their match, 6-2, giving the Eagles an advantage in the doubles point. Alexandros Roumpis and Valentin Dun fought in a back-and-forth match at the No. 1 position but emerged victorious to give the Eagles the 1-0 lead on the day.
