LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Mother Nature ended the baseball game between Georgia Southern and Little Rock at the end of the sixth inning, but the Eagles picked up a 12-6 win over the Trojans and clinched their final Sun Belt Conference road series on Sunday afternoon.
Georgia Southern (34-17, 20-7 SBC) was able to build up a 6-0 lead going into the middle of the second inning, thanks to an RBI-single by Austin Thompson and a two-RBI single by Sam Blancato to score the first three runs. The fourth run would come from a wild pitch that scored Jarrett Brown, and the final two runs would come from Thompson reaching on an error, which would score Jesse Sherrill and Jason Swan.
