STATESBORO - Georgia Southern women's tennis celebrated Senior Day on Sunday by picking up a 6-1 win over the No. 3-ranked team in NCAA Division III, Emory, at the Wallis Tennis Center.
The homestanding Eagles improved to 14-8 with the victory, while visiting Emory moved to 2-1 on the season after recently resuming competition. Georgia Southern will now prepare for its final week of regular season action, hosting Troy and South Alabama on Saturday and Sunday, April 10th and 11, at Wallis Tennis Center.
Prior to the match, the Eagles honored its two seniors - Paula Boixader and Charlotte van Diemen - for their contributions to Eagle tennis over the last four years.
