LYMAN, S.C. - The Georgia Southern women's soccer squad claimed a 3-0 shutout win over UNC Asheville in an exhibition contest on Saturday evening, played at the Carolina FC Complex in Lyman, S.C.
After registering just one team shutout all of 2021, the Eagles put up a clean sheet in its first action of 2021, keeping UNC Asheville off the scoreboard with a solid team defensive effort.
Offensively, redshirt freshman Elis Nemtsov struck quickly for the Eagles in the first half with a goal, and the Eagles would hold a 1-0 lead at the break over the Bulldogs.
