Atlanta, Ga. — The Georgia Southern Eagles (16-9, 4-3 SBC) took down the Panthers of Georgia State (17-11, 4-3 SBC) in run-rule, shutout fashion, 20-0, on Friday evening (March 28th).

An offensive explosion and a pitching masterclass from would combine beautifully for Georgia Southern's largest victory since their 35-8 victory over ULM in 2023. It also was their largest shutout victory since February 21, 2014, where they blanked Maryland-Eastern Shore 23-0 in Statesboro. The offense would combine for 18 hits on the night and only allow five from the defensive side.

A singular run in each of the first three innings, including second homer in as many games, would put the board at 3-0 after three frames.
