Eagle Rifle Takes Down Defending National Champs

WEST POINT, N.Y. - For the second day in a row, the Georgia Southern rifle squad re-wrote the record book as it took down No. 8 and defending national champion TCU with a school-record score of 4,745.

In smallbore, Georgia Southern broke the school record for a team score with a 2,358 after setting the school record the day before. Emme Walrath tied the school record with a 592, the second time this season she's recorded that number. Tori Watts and Emma Pohlmann both shot 589 to take fourth and fifth place, respectively, and were followed by Ella Goldfaden (588; 6th), Hailey Singleton (career-high 586; 7th), Bremen Butler (586; 8th) and Zahra Gonzalez Mazo (583; 11th).
