STATESBORO, Ga. – For the second-straight season Georgia Southern Baseball will partner with the Vs. Cancer Foundation in the fight to cure childhood cancer with an upcoming event on April 3rd. Members of the Eagle Baseball team will shave their heads following the final game of the Texas State series to bring attention to the fight.
Everyone can help the Eagles reach their fundraising goal by donating online at: http://team.vs-cancer.org/georgiasouthern or at the game on April 3rd. Donations are now being accepted with the goal of raising $8,000 for the foundation.
Half of all proceeds will benefit national childhood cancer research, and the other half will help kids directly undergoing treatment at a local children's hospital.
