HARRISONBURG, Va. - James Madison limited the Eagles to three hits and scored seven runs over the final two innings to collect a 9-0 win in five innings over visiting Georgia Southern on Sunday.
The Dukes (20-7, 5-1 SBC) completed the three-game Sun Belt sweep over the Eagles (11-17, 1-5 SBC) in the first meeting between the two schools as league rivals.
James Madison plated two runs in the bottom of the first inning - the first time all weekend the Dukes scored first - then added three runs in the third on a play where Reed Butler singled with two on, driving in a pair, then coming all the way around to home on an errant throw to second base.
