Connor Klekota Named GS Men's Soccer Assistant Coach

STATESBORO, Ga. - Georgia Southern Head Men's Soccer Coach John Murphy has announced the addition of Connor Klekota to the staff as an assistant coach for the Eagles.

Klekota joins Georgia Southern from Bucknell, where he served as a graduate assistant for the Bison from 2016-17. While at Bucknell, he helped the Bison go 9-7-2 in Patriot League play over two seasons.

A former standout for Notre Dame, Klekota appeared in 66 games for the Fighting Irish, starting 50 as a midfielder. He started 14 matches during Notre Dame's 2014 National Championship squad, then earned All-ACC Tournament honors on the Fightng Irish's conference championship squad in 2015.
