STATESBORO - One of the most decorated players in Georgia Southern softball history, Megen Conner returns to Statesboro as an assistant coach, as announced Wednesday by head coach Kim Dean. Conner will serve as the pitching coach for the Eagles and will also oversee the program's community outreach program.
"I'm thrilled to have someone of Megen's caliber joining our staff," Dean said. "Megen is someone who knows the expectations and the tradition of Georgia Southern softball and knows where we want to take the program. Having worked with her last year at Armstrong State, I know she's an excellent coach and I'm excited to have her leading the pitching staff and creating a more direct link to the local softball community and our alumni base.
