CONWAY, S.C. - Coastal Carolina softball plated five runs in the sixth inning to claim a 5-4 Sun Belt Conference victory over visiting Georgia Southern on Saturday at St. John Stadium in Conway.
The Chanticleers (27-9, 4-4 SBC) earned the series win over the Eagles (11-19, 1-7 SBC). The two teams will wrap up their three-game series on Sunday with a Noon contest.
Georgia Southern took a 3-0 lead in the top of the third inning on Emma Davis' RBI single to third, then a two-run single by Faith Barth up the middle.
