On Wednesday evening, following a postponement of their game on Tuesday, Georgia Southern’s baseball team took on Holy Cross out of Worcester, Massachusetts.
GS pulled out the win, having previously losing 3 out of their last 4 games. The pitching matchup was between Garret Keough (Holy Cross) and sophomore RHP, Zach Strickland (GS).
Both starters looked shaky to start the game. In the top of the 1st inning, Strickland only lasted 0.1 innings, facing only 5 batters while giving up 3 earned runs.
He was soon replaced by sophomore RHP, Braxton Johns. Johns would go on to retire the next two batters he faced.
