STATESBORO, Ga. - Georgia Southern head football coach Tyson Summers announced Friday the hiring of Bryan Cook as the new offensive coordinator for the Eagles. The hiring is contingent on final approval from University Human Resources. Cook comes to Statesboro after a successful four-year stint as Georgia Tech's quarterbacks and running backs coach, where he helped game plan one of the most dangerous offenses in college football. Prior to his time in Atlanta, he spent four seasons (2009-12) as co-offensive coordinator at Cal Poly.
"Bryan Cook is an exciting hire for our program and someone who we think will be a great cultural fit for us," Summers said.
