NEW ORLEANS – The Georgia Southern Eagles kicked off their bowl week with a day of travel and a team outing at Rock 'N' Bowl at the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl.
The Eagles left Statesboro around 3 p.m. on charter buses to board an hour and a half flight to New Orleans. The support staff took a flight earlier in the day to make sure everything was set up and ready to roll. Upon arrival, the team was greeted by a jazz band and bowl staff who were handing out beads to the players.
