NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion used a 17-2 run midway through the third quarter to collect a 67-50 Sun Belt Conference women's basketball victory over visiting Georgia Southern on Thursday evening in Norfolk.
The Monarchs improved to 17-9 overall and 9-4 in the Sun Belt with their fourth straight win, while Georgia Southern falls to 15-7 overall and 7-6 in the Sun Belt.
Georgia Southern committed 11 turnovers in the first quarter alone as Old Dominion led by a 14-10 score at the end of the period. The Eagles moved back in front by a 21-19 score on a Ja'nya Love-Hill basket with 2:57 left, but Old Dominion ended the half on a 10-0 run to take a 29-21 lead into the break.
