MOBILE, ALA. – Georgia Southern Football was back to business on Sunday with the GoDaddy Bowl just three days away. The day also included lunch at the USS Alabama, a WWII era battleship.
Morning meetings paved the way for the Eagles to have lunch at Battleship Park, located across the river from downtown Mobile. The jewel of the park, the USS Alabama, saw action in both theaters of World War II and stands as a living memorial to honor the nation's military for the last 50 years.
As the Eagles shared their meal, provided by the Bowl Committee, Mobile native Sherman Williams spoke to the team.
