STATESBORO – The Georgia Southern football squad pulled away from South Carolina State in the second half to pick up a 42-15 victory Saturday evening at Allen E. Paulson Stadium/Evans Family Field in non-conference action.
After a quick stop from the defense, the Eagles (2-1) marched down the field and scored on a 13-yard touchdown catch from tight end Tyler Fromm. The Bulldogs missed a field goal but scored on their next possession to tie it up early in the second quarter, but that lead was short-lived after Jalen White punched it in for a 1-yard touchdown that was set up by a 58-yard pass to Josh Dallas.
