MOBILE, Ala. – Abbey Arnett ran the seventh-fastest 1500 in school history, and the Eagles have four of the top nine competitors in the 200-meter dash after the first day of action at the Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Arnett ran the 1500 in 4:49.86 and finished 16th, while Zykeria Williams, Aris Hubbard and Scovia Ayikoru advanced to the finals of the 200-meter dash.
Williams (24.33) won her heat, while Hubbard (24.15) and Ayikoru (24.33) finished second in their heats. Hubbard's time is the sixth-fastest in school history, and Ayikoru's time ranks eighth.
