STATESBORO, Ga. – Georgia Southern volleyball coach Dustin Wood announced today that April Luther (Tarzana, Calif./UTEP/Poway) will join the Eagles' 2017 roster.

Before Georgia Southern: Spent the last three years at UTEP • Redshirted in 2014 and came off the bench in four matches and played in eight sets for the Miners in 2015 • Recorded 10 assists, four digs, two kills and a service ace in her season debut at Southern Miss (10/23) • Registered a dig in the other three matches played • Totaled seven digs on the season • C-USA SAAC Co-Vice President and UTEP Representative • SAAC Vice President and Volleyball Representative • UTEP Representative 2015 SAAC Leadership Conference • UTEP Representative at 2015 APPLE Conference • Miner Gems Mentoring Program participant and logged 822 Community service hours • Played for coach Breezy Ambort at Poway High School in 2013 • Assisted the Titans to a 21-14 record while recording 90 kills, 49 blocks, 56 digs and 19 aces • Was 2013 CIF Runner up • Garnered All-League honors 2012 • Played beach volleyball from 2011-2012 • Played for coach Dave Profitt on Epic Volleyball Club team.
