MADEIRA BEACH, Fla. - A two-out, two-strike bases loaded single drove home the winning runs for Albany in a 2-1 college softball victory over Georgia Southern on Friday afternoon at the Spring Games in Madeira Beach, Fla.
The Great Danes improve to 4-3 on the season with the win, while Georgia Southern falls to 4-8. The Eagles will continue action in the Spring Games on Saturday, taking on Rhode Island at 1:30 p.m. and future Sun Belt opponent Southern Miss at 4 p.m.
