Five-star QB Jacob Eason (Lake Stevens, WA) reaffirmed his commitment to the Georgia Bulldogs, announcing he will enroll at the school in the spring.
Eason, who originally committed to the Bulldogs in July 2014, was wavering on his commitment to UGA after head coach Mark Richt was fired and strongly considered signing with the Florida Gators. However, the hire of Kirby Smart as head coach and Jim Chaney as offensive coordinator, was enough to keep him with Georgia.
The 6-foot-5, 215-pounder took a final visit to Georgia this weekend to meet with Smart and a few other top recruits that were in town.
He took official visits to Florida and the Washington Huskies in recent weeks, but UGA was able to secure this commitment this past weekend.
He will play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on January 9th, and will enroll in classes at Georgia the following week.
