So far, over the past two weeks we have been given access to “Period 2” of Georgia’s pad-less spring practice two times (and even got the chance to take pictures). Though it seems like there’d be a goldmine of information at these things, we’re actually deceptively deprived of such. Coach Smart makes sure we only see 15 minutes of individual position drills and a second of some intermingling between the skill positions.
Some of the biggest observations I’m able to pull from these open practices have to do with depth, and given the quarterback question every Georgia football fan and their mother is asking this offseason, I was able to pull just a little bit.
