It’s been over 670 days since Georgia football lost a game inside Sanford Stadium.
It was Kirby Smart’s first year as head coach at his alma mater in the final regular season game against Georgia Tech on November 26, 2016.
Since that 28-27 defeat against the Yellow Jackets, the Bulldogs have hosted nine games in Athens, winning all of them by a combined score of 355-97.
For the better part of two years, Sanford Stadium is where team’s dreams have come to die. Mississippi State, Tennessee, South Carolina, Missouri and Kentucky are just a few examples of schools that left Athens as losers, contributing to Georgia’s nine game home winning streak.
