The University of Georgia Lady Bulldog basketball team shot a season-low 33 percent from the field in a 62-50 loss to the No. 3-ranked South Carolina Gamecocks Thursday evening at Colonial Life Arena.
The loss snaps a four-game win streak for the No. 22-ranked Lady Bulldogs. Georgia falls to 12-2 overall, 4-2 in the SEC, while South Carolina improves to 11-1, 6-0 in the conference.
Seniors Jenna Staiti and Que Morrison led the Lady Bulldogs with 15 points apiece. Staiti finished one rebound shy of a double-double with nine boards.
“In my opinion, South Carolina is the best team in the country,” head coach Joni Taylor said.
