Sanford Stadium may be filled to capacity next weekend for Georgia’s G-Day game, but nobody among what could be more than 90,000 that will be there probably will get the attention of players like the Bulldogs living legend who spoke to the team on the field before Saturday’s scrimmage.

Herschel Walker’s message, he said, was simple and direct: keep practicing hard.
“One of the things people think happens is that you win games a week before the season starts,” Walker said later after joining Georgia great and Olympic gold medal sprinter Gwen Torrence in being recognized at a UGA meet Saturday at Spec Towns Track where they both ran in their college days.
