Vikings Release Former UGA Star Wide Receiver

Former Georgia wide receiver Tavarres King has been released off injured reserve (leg) by the Minnesota Vikings, Andrew Krammer of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

King, a five-year Bulldog, has been floating around the NFL since 2013. The Mount Airy native was drafted in the fifth round by the Denver Broncos before joining the likes of the Carolina Panthers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New York Giants and Vikings.

King, who enjoyed a 2,602 yard career with the Dawgs, is one of the most decorated receivers in Georgia history.

Best of luck to #12!
