Earlier this week, USA Today released its official preseason running back rankings as the 2019 season quickly approaches.
Number one on the list was Wisconsin junior Jonathan Taylor, who was followed by Clemson’s Travis Etienne, who played a huge part in delivering Clemson its national championship this past season.
Third on the list was Georgia running back D’Andre Swift, who had a limited role behind Nick Chubb and Sony Michel his freshman year but broke out last season and posted over 1,000 yards.
About Swift, USA Today said:
“Swift’s talent has outweighed his touches across his first two years with the Bulldogs, though his production saw a significant uptick across the second half of last season.
