UGA’s Robert Tyler throws one-hitter in win over Alabama

More than 1,800 fans at Foley Field nearly witnessed Georgia baseball’s unquestioned ace have his crowning moment in the Diamond Dogs’ 7-1 win over Alabama Friday.

Robert Tyler was one out away from a no-hitter. Georgie Salem dug in to pinch hit, and Tyler began to work on him, just as he had the rest of Alabama’s hitters.

To that point, the only offense the Crimson Tide had mustered came via two walks in the seventh inning.
