In March and April 2019, the NCAA received reports of three secondary recruiting violations from Georgia’s compliance office. Shortly following these reports were the dismissals of two recruiting support staffers.
According to 247Sports, one of the violations involved a school staffer bringing a student athlete down onto the field for a few minutes during the schools annual G-Day game, which is technically against NCAA rules.
On another occasion, a student worker escorted a recruit during a visit to the school, which is also against NCAA rules. Furthermore, a member of UGA’s coaching staff provided a personalized video to the parent of a recruit, also violating NCAA regulations.
