The Bulldogs have gotten revenge on the Minutemen for last year’s upset in Amherst. Georgia beat UMass 91-72 Sunday to head into conference play happily.
Nicolas Claxton led all scorers with 20 points while Rayshaun Hammonds followed closely with 18. The Dawgs did nothing extravagant in the second half but were able to maintain their lead and prevent UMass from every really threatening.
Stars of the game were Claxton, Hammonds, Tyree Crump, and Derek Ogbeide.
The big-names for Georgia helped pace the Bulldogs to a solid victory in Athens Sunday and stretch the winning streak to three.
