Georgia football greats Charles Johnson and Thomas Davis have played together on the Carolina Panthers for 11 years prior to Johnson’s recent retirement.
The two defensive standouts caught up with Marcus Spears in Charlotte, Saturday, for a segment of SEC Nation as the pregame show prepared fans for the Tennessee vs West Virginia match.
Johnson, fresh off his retirement announcement, and Davis entering his final season, talked about Kirby Smart’s current team in Athens and their expectations for the future.
Johnson sees the Bulldogs winning a national championship “in the next few years” and Davis thinks that Coach Smart has “set the bar in the SEC.
