Georgia football offensive coordinator James Coley is likely to buck the trend on Saturday, in calling the Bulldogs’ first game away from the booth.
Last season, former Georgia offensive coordinator Jim Chaney called games from the booth, which is a common practice amongst several assistant coaches.
However, Coley is looking to start on a different note Saturday, calling the game from the sidelines per Coach Kirby Smart.
Offensive coordinator James Coley will probably call the game from the field, coach Kirby Smart said. Jim Chaney was in the box.
Though the change is minor, it may help to build team chemistry at the start of the season and keep the players in closer connection to Coley.
