Georgia safety J.R. Reed earned an honor from the SEC office following his team's 42-7 win over Florida.
Reed was named the SEC's co-defensive player of the week following his performance in the blowout victory.
In the third quarter, Reed shared a sack with defensive back Tyrique McGhee, which forced a fumble from Florida quarterback Feleipe Franks. Reed then scooped up the loose ball and ran it in for a 3-yard touchdown return.
Reed finished the game with eight total tackles. Reed is now second on the roster with 44 tackles.
Reed shared the award with Kentucky linebacker Jordan James.
