Every year, the Georgia Bulldogs produce quality NFL prospects, and practically every year, the home-state Atlanta Falcons shy away from drafting them.
In recent memory, the Falcons have only selected four former UGA players in the NFL Draft: RB Thomas Brown (6th round, 2008), TE Martrez Milner (4th round, 2007), LB Akeem Dent (4th round, 2011) and QB DJ Shockley (7th round, 2006).
This offseason, the Falcons possess a need at cornerback after the release of Robert Alford. After a 7-9 season, Atlanta holds the 14th pick in this year’s draft and may not have to look far to find its next cornerback.
