In case someone has been living under a rock, floods have decimated Louisiana this summer. The August floods that ravaged the state have caused widespread damage and destruction. The massive rainfall has left 13 dead and thousands homeless throughout the state.
The flooding has gained national attention, and the affected areas have been visited by U.S. President Barack Obama and Presidential Nominee Donald Trump.
Aid has been raised nationwide to support the victims. In response to the flood, Nicholls State University has set up a relief fund to support its students. The fund was created to “help affected students cover unexpected costs or replace necessities lost in the storm (such as books, clothing, residence halls items, etc.
