Former five-star tight end recruit Arik Gilbert entered the transfer portal after one season at LSU.
Now, Gilbert is transferring to the University of Georgia, per 247Sports.
Gilbert was rated as the No. 1 tight end in the country in the class of 2020. The Marietta High School star was rated as the No. 5 overall prospect in the country.
In 2020, Gilbert caught 35 passes for 368 yards and two touchdowns in eight games for the LSU Tigers. The 6-foot-5, 250-pound tight end has the ability to line up as a wide receiver and will help absorb some of the receptions lost from George Pickens, who tore his ACL this offseason.
