Being the No. 1 track and field recruit in the entire country, Matthew Boling (Houston, Texas) had a big selection of schools to choose from.
In the end, Boling – who is considered the best track and field high school recruit of all-time – settled on the University of Georgia.
The Bulldogs, who just won their first national team track and field title with 52 points at the NCAA Championships in the summer of 2018, have added the best high school athlete in the country to their roster.
“I really like Coach Petros’ philosophy,” Boling said, shortly after accepting his award for the Gatorade National Boys Track and Field Player of the Year.
